Nikkozan Rinno-ji Temple Zazen Experience

Meditate in the precincts of a World Heritage Site and forget your daily life. Take a moment to reflect on yourself. Experience zazen accompanied by a monk's teaching and spend an extraordinary time in Nikko.

Nikko Toshogu Shrine “Shogun's sitting room” Special Visit Private Tour

Nikko Toshogu Shrine worships the shogunate Tokugawa Ieyasu, who established the Edo period. A private tour with a designated guide where you are allowed to visit the shogun's sitting room during times when there are few tourists.

Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple “Heart Sutra” copying experience

You can enjoy to copy the characters of the Heart Sutra (276 characters), a Buddhist sutra that explains the Mahayana Buddhist ideas of emptiness and wisdom.
We also have a shorter sutra called Hongakusan (59 characters) available for beginners and guests from foreign countries.
We will prepare it in the room you will be staying in.
Please enjoy a relaxing time.

“CHOYA” Ume Syrup Making Experience Kit Plan

“Ume” is a Japanese fruit similar to the European plum, and has long been cherished by the Japanese as an ingredient for Ume syrup and UMEBOSHI pickles. Fufu Nikko offers an experience where you can make Ume syrup using Japanese Ume.

Inspired by the Ume blossoms favored by the Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, we offer the red Ume “Fully Ripened Nanko Ume” and the white Ume “Ōshuku.” You can choose one type from two types of Ume. Fully ripened Nanko Ume have a very fruity flavor, while Ōshuku has a refreshing taste. We'll provide the experience kit, so please read the instructions and enjoy creating it in your room.
The Ume syrup will be ready in about a week after bringing it home. Enjoy it as a base syrup for cocktails, mixed with soda, milk, or tea, to suit your mood.

Ride a bicycle while feeling the breeze of mountains and murmuring of the river, passing through downtown Nikko where people come and go, as well as the World Heritage sites. Departing FUFU Nikko on a bicycle, and on the way back we have transfer back to FUFU Nikko or to the station.

Reservation and Cancellation

Reservation Policy of Activities

Booking is accepted three months in advance.
Booking needs to be confirmed three days prior to the date of the tour.
The booking is accepted at the General Reservation Center or FUFU Nikko.
FUFU Nikko Designated Staff will respond to inquiries and provide details of the reservation.
The booking may not be accepted due to weather, etc. The schedule may be changed according to the physical conditions of customers or the weather.
The final decision on whether or not the tour will be held is determined at 6:00 PM of the day before departure. No cancellation fee will be charged in case of bad weather, etc.
